Two children were killed in an Indiana County house fire early Sunday morning, according to the county coroner’s office.
The coroner’s office said the fire was discovered just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday, and three people were able to escape. The home was in the 900 block of Dilltown Heights Road in Buffington Township, WJAC-TV reported.
A 12-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy became trapped inside and were pronounced dead just after 5 a.m., according to the coroner’s report. Their names were not released.
The children were students in the United School District, according to a statement from Superintendent Richard Lucas.
