On Sunday at 9:37 p.m. a lake effect snow warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until Tuesday at 1 p.m. for Crawford County.
"Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches," can be expected according to the weather service. "Localized tree damage and power outages are possible due to the combined weight of wet snow accumulations and leaves remaining on the trees. Snowfall rates within the strongest bands may reach 1 to 2 inches per hour."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be difficult. The
