Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. committed a rather dangerous “touchdown spike” celebration during Sunday’s ugly home loss to the Detroit Lions.
Not much went right for the Commanders in a dejecting 44-22 loss to the Lions at Northwest Stadium on Sunday evening, a game attended by President Donald Trump. Washington was at a tremendous disadvantage without quarterback Jayden Daniels, but the struggling defense never gave them a shot in a must-win contest.
It was such a bad day for the Commanders that Chris Rodriguez Jr. couldn’t even properly perform the touchdown spike celly after scoring Washington’s first touchdown late in the second quarter.
As you can see in the video below, Rodriguez spiked the ball right into a camerawoman positioned behind the end zone:
