LYNNVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- With food benefits still being unavailable, the Town of Lynnville has held a food drive for anyone that may be in need.

The food drive is a way Lynnville recognized the possible increased need for food for families in the area. Town council member Rachel Titzer says the donations came from local churches, community organizations, and people who wanted to get involved.

"We wanted to get as many people together,” Titzer said. “Organizations, churches and come together and do a large donation and start dispersing these, food bags out to the people that need them."

The food bags included canned vegetables, soups, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal and other breakfast items. The town has a food pantry officials but believe there is an increased need for food.
