NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - While Sunday gave us a gradual cool down, the evening hours heading into Monday will not be as generous.
Temperatures will drop over 30-degrees from Sunday's high temperature of 73 down to the 30s along the North Shore and 40s along the South Shore.
Even though the expected high temperature for Monday is about 55-degrees, it'll feel significantly colder because gusty winds will be in the mix!
Taking a look at wind gusts for Sunday evening, they'll get up to the 30-mph range then simmering down slightly by Monday afternoon into the upper 20-mph range:
With wind gusts that strong, it's no surprise that there is Gale Warning in effort for many of our aerial waters from 6 p.m. Sunday to 9 a.m. on Monday then downgrading to Gale Watch and Small Craft Advisory turn Monda
