Emmanuel Clase has become the center of attention in the MLB after being involved in a betting scandal. The Cleveland Guardians’ star closer was refrained from pitching by the league back in June, and it turns out that he will never be coming back.

Along with Clase, Luis Ortiz was also involved with illegal sports betting. A new report has indicated that Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz were accused of taking bribes to rig pitches. Clase and Ortiz are being accused of taking thousands of dollars for a rigged pitch.

As per the reports, Ortiz allegedly received $7,000 to throw a rigged pitch. On the other hand, Clase received $50,000 in cash for being involved.
