LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person is displaced after losing their home caught fire early Sunday morning.

Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS (AMFEMS) Units responded to call for a house fire in the 1700 block of Seven Green Lane, near the Polo Fields Golf Club. Upon arrival, crews found a two-story house with flames showing through the roof.

Crews conducted an exterior fire attack due to the large volume of fire in the house. AMFEMS firefighters controlled the exterior and worked their way inside to extinguish the remaining hot spots.

The lone occupant of the home was out of town according to AMFEMS. No injuries were reported and the fire did not spread to nearby homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
