Our cocktailin’ adventures are always a delight because of the folks we get to meet and the stories we get to hear. But this month’s crew really had something special. Diego behind the bar at Papi’s Tacos on Augusta welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family from the moment we scooted up to the bar. Owned by father-and-son team, Jorge Barrales Sr. (Papi) and Jorge Barrales Jr., this second location of “Papi’s” is an indoor/outdoor oasis, creating a perfect laid-back atmosphere for enjoying their specialties in the food and beverage department.

The Barraleses know their way around a kitchen and their “small but authentic” menu, using recipes that have been passed down through generations, is the perfect way to celebrate their heritage.
