Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence (AI) firm xAI has upgraded its Grok AI model with new capabilities, including a new AI-powered feature that lets users transform any still image into a short video with just a few simple steps.

“Long press on any image to turn it into a video! Then customise the prompt to create whatever you can imagine,” Musk said in a post on X on Sunday, November 9. The post was accompanied by an AI-generated video that Musk said he created from a still image of a girl with the prompt: ‘She smiles and says, ‘I will always love you.’

Sure enough, the video shows a photorealistic, AI-generated woman on a rainy street, saying those words in a synthetic voice.
