The Baltimore Ravens appeared all but out of the AFC North race after entering their Week 7 bye with a 1-5 record.
Just a few weeks later, Baltimore is within striking distance of the Pittsburgh Steelers' perch atop the division.
The Ravens have mounted a three-game winning streak following their bye, with their most recent triumph being a 27-19 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Baltimore's defense helped power it to victory against Minnesota, as the unit forced J.J. McCarthy into two interceptions while limiting Justin Jefferson to a season-low 37 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, the Steelers had a chance to grab a stranglehold on the AFC North in the team's Week 7 meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals. However, Pittsburgh lost that contest, kickstarting a 1-3 stretch over four weeks that culminated with a 25-10 "Sunday Night Football" loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Steelers' most recent defeat showcased some of their offensive weaknesses. Aaron Rodgers had a shaky showing, struggling to find a reliable target outside DK Metcalf, and his two interceptions helped undermine otherwise-solid work by Pittsburgh's stop unit against a potent Chargers offense.
So, how are the AFC North standings looking entering Week 11? Here's a look at the changing divisional power structure.
AFC North standings Week 11
- Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4)
- Baltimore Ravens (4-5)
- Cincinnati Bengals (3-6)
- Cleveland Browns (2-7)
The Steelers remain atop the AFC North, but the gap between them and the Ravens has shrunk to one game. The overall race remains relatively open, with the Bengals having an outside chance of working their way into the competition if they can get hot following their Week 10 bye.
Still, it seems more likely the division race will come down to a classic Ravens vs. Steelers showdown. Baltimore and Pittsburgh haven't yet played in 2025 and aren't set to do so until Weeks 14 and 18. Those contests could go a long way toward deciding which team might earn a home playoff game in 2025.
