Chandigarh, November 10, 2025 — Police have reportedly detained several farmer leaders who were on their way to Chandigarh to express solidarity with students staging a sit-in protest at Panjab University.

According to information received, Punjab Kisan Union State President and Samyukta Kisan Morcha leader Ruldu Singh, who had set out from Mansa earlier today, was stopped by police before entering Chandigarh. He was taken into custody and not allowed to proceed further.
