Vinu is likely to contest from either Paroppadi or Chevayoor. The congress leadership held talks with Vinu regarding this. There are hints that he has agreed to contest. The congress has candidates in 49 seats of the corporation.

The congress may announce the first phase list of candidates including Vinu today. 23 out of 49 candidates will be announced today. Vinu has been living near the Kozhikode Civil Station for a long time. Vinu, the director of several hit films, often expresses his opinions on administrative matters.
