Max B is officially a free man after spending more than 15 years behind bars.
The Harlem-bred rapper was released from prison on Sunday (November 9) and was welcomed home by friends and family, including longtime collaborator French Montana.
A video posted by French on social media showed the two rappers embracing each other in an emotional (and long-awaited) moment outside of the prison.
“CANT MAKE THIS UP ! MY BROTHER REALLY CAME HOME ON MY B DAY ! HAMDULILLAH,” the Coke Boys capo captioned the clip. “WALKED IT DOWN ! NO MORE FREE YOU [wave emojis].”
Max B (real name Charley Wingate) served 16 years for his role in an armed robbery-gone-wrong that resulted in a man’s death.
