A 30-year-old farmer, Guguloth Bhojya, died by suicide in Mahabubabad district after allegedly consuming pesticide. Family members said he had fallen into debt after a poor maize yield on his two-acre farm pushed him into financial distress.
Mahabubabad: A young farmer died by suicide at Addaskunta thanda in Chinnakishtapuram gram panchayat of Nellikuduru mandal in Mahabubabad district.
The farmer, Guguloth Bhojya aged 30, is said to have consumed pesticide on Sunday night. While some sources attributed the incident to family issues, his family members said he had incurred debts after suffering crop loss.
He had cultivated maize on two acres of land and received a poor yield, which they said pushed him into distress.
