WINDSOR LOCKS, CT (WFSB) – An end to the government shutdown could been in sight.

A deal aimed at stopping it passed in the U.S. Senate.

However, impacts at airports continued Monday morning.

Crowds of travelers at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks moved along smoothly.

However, cutbacks to flights continued at 40 of the nation’s busiest airports as TSA workers and air traffic controllers were at about 6 weeks without pay.

As some of those workers chose to leave their jobs, the FAA experienced a shortage of staff it needed, which led to thousands of canceled and delayed flights.

As of Monday morning, about 1,500 flights nationwide were canceled.

Bradley was not among the list of impacted airports; however, that doesn’t mean the impact hasn’t been felt.
