OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — Downed power lines in Ottawa County have caused a road closure and power outages in the Jenison area early Monday morning.
Deputies say the power lines are down in the 2000 block of Bauer Road at 20th Avenue.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office began blocking the road just after 6 a.m. while the Georgetown Township Fire Department addresses the issue.
The downed power lines are causing an outage for residents in the area as well as at Jenison High School and Jenison Junior High School, which are just down the street from where the power lines fell.
It is not clear if Jenison Public Schools will be canceling classes at this time.
Bauer Road is closed to all traffic between 20th Avenue and Lamplight Drive. Drivers should expect to take a different route at this tim
