Joe Scarborough Urges Dems to ‘Take the Win’ on Shutdown Deal, Argues Trump Admin ‘Exposed’ Itself

host Joe Scarborough slammed Democrats’ “wringing of hands” after a late-night deal struck Sunday to end the government shutdown and, instead, urged the party to “take the win” — arguing the process “exposed” the Trump administration’s priorities.

Eight members of the Democratic caucus ignited fury from some quarters of the party after voting for the resolution to end the 40-day shutdown, the longest in U.S. history.

Democrats claimed they were holding out to force the extension of subsidies that lapse at the end of the year. The deal promises a vote on the matter next month.
