Lidl has revealed plans to open hundreds of new stores across the UK. The German supermarket has plans for a huge expansion which includes town centres, retail parks, and standalone site.
Lidl store requirements are unit sizes between 18,000 and 26,500 sq ft and at least 100 dedicated car parking spaces. The retailer posted: “Lidl has ambitious plans to open hundreds of new stores across Great Britain. This means we are looking to acquire sites that meet our standard store format requirements.”
Lidl is rivalled by Aldi , Morrisons , Tesco , Sainsbury's , and Asda . Its requirements are prominent locations with easy access and strong pedestrian or traffic flow, freehold, leasehold or long leasehold opportunities, and unit sizes between 18,000 and 26,500 sq ft and 10
