New leaked images have confirmed several characters for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie, ahead of a rumoured trailer later this month.

While we’re still in the dark around any successor to Super Mario Odyssey, the first half of 2026 has a pretty substantial line-up for fans of Nintendo’s portly plumber.

Along with Mario Tennis Fever and the Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, there is The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on April 3, 2026. It is the sequel to 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, based on the Super Mario Galaxy video games.

Nintendo released a short teaser for the film in September, and confirmed some returning cast members, but it seems more characters have been let out of the bag thanks to a promotional box of cookie dough.
