COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Kayden McDonald has quietly had a dominant season as a first-year starter on Ohio State’s defensive line.

The third-year defensive tackle has combined production with reliability in the middle, and that was again on display in a 34-10 win over Purdue on Saturday . McDonald recorded four tackles, a tackle for loss and a pressure on his way to a Pro Football Focus grade of 88.4. That was the highest of any defensive player in either team.

Behind him was Sonny Styles , as the captain linebacker recorded five tackles and a pass breakup, earning him an 82.9 grade.
