SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A woman was arrested for assaulting someone who hit her vehicle by opening a door in a grocery store parking lot, South Windsor police said.

They identified the woman as 45-year-old Caroline Martinez of East Hartford.

Police said Martinez assaulted the victim on Friday after the victim’s car door accidentally struck her vehicle in the parking lot of Aldi on Gateway Boulevard.

The victim suffered a minor injury.

Martinez was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.

She was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and given a court date of Nov. 26.
