SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A man was charged with drunk driving after police said he backed unto the front glass doors of a restaurant in South Windsor.
The driver was identified as 34-year-old David Manier.
Police said they responded to the Sawadee Thai Cuisine Restaurant on Buckland Road on Sunday around 6:30 p.m.
They said after backing into the doors, the driver got the vehicle stuck in a ditch as he tried to leave.
Lanier consented to standardized field sobriety tests, which they said he failed.
In addition to operating under the influence, he was also charged with unsafe backing.
He was taken into custody and released on a $2,000 non-surety bond.
Lanier was scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Nov. 24.
