JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - Jackson Police officers are helping local families celebrate Thanksgiving by hosting their annual Turkey Drive-Thru event.

The event will take place on Wednesday, November 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the American 1 Convention Center located at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

The drive-thru is open to Jackson residents only, with no prior sign-up required, and turkeys will be distributed free of charge.

Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles and enter the fairgrounds through the North Blackstone Street entrance, then follow signs through the parking lot to the distribution site.

Jackson Police officers will be on hand to deliver turkeys directly to vehicles.
