A car parked in the parking lot near Gate No. 1 of Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station on Monday exploded. After the explosion, the fire spread so fast that three more vehicles parked nearby were also burnt.

As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Fire department officials said the cause of the blast is being investigated.

Police have cordoned off the entire area and a forensic team is present at the spot. CCTV footage from the vicinity is being scanned. .
