MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A 13-year-old Collierville student is making major waves in the world of roller skating. He recently returned from China, where he placed in a world skating competition.
But behind every great champion is a great coach — in this case, his coach has been training winners for nearly 70 years.
Jeremy Liu is a world champion. He recently competed in the 69th World Artistic Roller Skating Championship in Beijing, China, as a representative of Team USA.
"Felt like I was representing my club and my country, and it felt like it was going to be a great learning experience for me," Liu said.
Liu competed in the inline program against kids from around the world.
He placed third, bringing home the Bronze medal.
