The darts No.1 conquered the world at Alexandra Palace in 2024, halting Luke Littler’s almighty charge from obscurity to stardom.
Collapsing to the floor the classic darts anthem rang out, but by the time he finally got his hands on the PDC World Championship trophy, the music had changed.
Humphries hoisted the trophy aloft to Cake by the Ocean by DNCE, his walk-on song that Sky Sports gave him as he hadn’t selected his own.
He’s since put things right by switching to I Predict a Riot, by Kaiser Chiefs who hail from his native Leeds.
