The Grambling State vs. Bethune-Cookman game turned ugly on Saturday as a brawl broke out before the start of the third quarter, leading to nine ejections.

Five Grambling State and four Bethune-Cookman players were ejected, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Grambling State head coach Mickey Joseph was asked about the incident following the game and defended his Tigers players. According to Joseph, Wildcats players and coaches deserve blame for taking their time coming out of the locker room.
