SHORT TERM: Snow wraps up but the cold remains with lows around 23° with chills around 12° Tuesday AM

LONG TERM: Slow-warming Tuesday, but rapid warming for late week with perhaps some thunderstorms

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Snowy afternoon with a coating of snow on grassy/elevated areas. Some slick spots on areas roads could also develop during the more intense snow showers. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place into the early evening.

While snow showers exit the region by sunset Monday evening, we’ll keep the ALERT DAY in place through Tuesday morning due to the risk for slick spots developing as temperatures fall back below freezing.
