A mantra that this metal guitarist certainly seems to follow, especially given a recent interview of his.
Metal Injection reports that Kerry King — who many may recognize as being the co-lead guitarist and songwriter for California-based thrash metal group Slayer — sat down with Reigning TV the other day.
At one point, King — along with Death Angel vocalist and King’s current bandmate Mark Osegueda — were asked if they prefer Metallica or Megadeath. And as Metal Injection notes, King certainly didn’t play favorites, given he briefly performed with Megadeath back in the 1980s.
“I’m gonna be brutally honestly,” King responded. ‘Metallica has a singer. Sorry, Dave [Mustaine].”
