LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - On this day back in 1923, there was a record crowd at Memorial Stadium.
It was still under construction, but according to Nebraska History Magazine , 43,000 fans watched Nebraska upset Notre Dame 14-7.
It was one of only two games the legendary “Four Horsemen” lost between 1922 and 1924.
