PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (WFLA) — A teenager was arrested last week after she was caught on camera bashing the hood of a police patrol car with a shovel, a video from the police department showed.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department said it was called to Bartell Avenue on Nov. 3 due to a disturbance reported inside a home.
The police department said a 15-year-old girl was seen standing in the middle of the road with a shovel as they pulled up to the scene.
The teen approached an arriving patrol car and began striking the hood with it, police said.
The girl was taken into custody after officers said she caused over $1,200 in damage to the hood of the patrol car.
She was charged with a felony for criminal mischief.
