PALM HARBOR, Fla. (WFLA) — A 21-year-old woman was charged last week after she was clocked going 107 mph in a 55 mph zone, an affidavit from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
Yazmin Erazo, 21, of Holiday, was driving on US-19 last Thursday at around 11:52 p.m. She was spotted by an officer on a routine patrol who estimated she was going over 100 mph.
The officer pulled over the Kia Forte after his radar measured the speed of the car at 107 mph, the affidavit said. The speed limit on most of US-19 is 55 mph.
She was placed under arrest for dangerous, excessive speeding without incident, the affidavit said. Erazo was charged with a misdemeanor and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. She has since been released on bond.
