GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) – A special ceremony honoring veterans will be held Tuesday in Goose Creek.
Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11th to thank veterans for their service and to recognize their patriotism, courage, and sacrifices.
As part of that recognition, the City of Goose Creek will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the city’s John McCants Veterans Park (355 Anita Drive) at 11 a.m.
City officials said U.S. Air Force Veteran Joe Daning, a former member of the South Carolina House of Representatives and Goose Creek City Council, will deliver the keynote address.
The ceremony will also feature the Goose Creek High School JROTC and Chamber Choir, and Goose Creek Mayor Greg Habib will deliver remarks.
Members of the community are invited to attend.
