The National Lottery is appealing for the winner of £1 million who has just ten days to come forward and claim their prize.

Every time a player wins a big prize in a National Lottery game, such as EuroMillions, Lotto or Set For Life, they are given around six months to collect their cash.

If nobody claims the prize, the money gets ingested into the National Lottery's community fund which helps projects across the UK.

One ticket holder matched five numbers plus the bonus ball in a Lotto draw on May 24 which won them a life-altering sum of £1,000,000. The winning numbers were 9, 12, 13, 26, 38, 40 and Bonus 4.
