A new update has been issued after a bus roof was torn off after smashing into a low bridge in Bolton last Friday (November 7).

The Bee Network bus, operated by Go North West, collided with the bridge on Weston Street at around 7.45pm. No passengers were on board at the time and the driver of the bus is understood not have suffered serious injuries.

The rail bridge, which is located in the Burnden area, south of Bolton town centre, is 3.7m high and clearly marked 'low bridge'.
