The aftermath of the massive car explosion near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi painted a horrific scene on Monday evening. At least 11 people lost their lives, while several others sustained injuries in the powerful blast that shook one of the city’s busiest areas.
According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the explosion was devastating, body parts were scattered across the road, and one victim’s body remained trapped inside a mangled vehicle. Several cars parked nearby caught fire, sending plumes of thick smoke into the sky.
Emergency services, including fire brigade and rescue teams, rushed to the spot to douse the flames and evacuate the injured. Dozens of victims were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
