As the Senate agreement on funding the government heads to the House, WMUR reached out to New Hampshire’s representatives.

Democrats Chris Pappas and Maggie Goodlander both declined to speak with us on camera.

Pappas released a public statement saying he cannot support the new bill because it doesn't do enough to address health insurance costs:

“The deal reached in the Senate on government funding fails to prevent a massive increase in health insurance costs for families and small businesses, and for that reason I can’t support it. I’ll keep fighting to get legislation to the House floor that will extend premium tax credits, but just hoping Speaker Johnson will do the right thing
