President Droupadi Murmu on Monday addressed members of the Indian community in Angola, urging them to actively contribute to the shared prosperity of the two countries.
Speaking at a reception hosted by the Indian Ambassador in Luanda, Murmu said India values its partnership with Africa, particularly Angola, which is based on equality, mutual trust, and shared goals for progress. She highlighted India’s engagement with Africa through the India–Africa Forum Summit (IAFS) and said India looks forward to hosting the next summit soon.
“Angola is an important partner in India’s energy security, and India is one of Angola’s top trade partners,” she said, noting that bilateral trade crossed USD 5 billion last year.
