The Brian Daboll era is over.
The New York Giants are firing their head coach after a 2-8 start to the 2025 season.
This development is bad news for the Philadelphia Eagles, who largely owned Daboll since he was hired in 2022. The Birds were 7-2 in nine meetings against him.
Ironically, Daboll’s last-ever win as Giants head coach came against the Eagles back in Week 6. New York followed that feel-good victory with four straight losses, including one to Philadelphia in Week 8.
Daboll leaves behind a 21-41-1 overall record. 10 of those wins came in his first season on the job. He then only managed to win 11 games over the next three seasons combined.
