DANBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - An investigation is underway following a hit and run in Danbury on Sunday afternoon.
At around 5 p.m. officers were called to the area of Main Street and Patch Street after a report of a collision involving a pedestrian, the police department said.
When crews arrived, they found a pedestrian that was lying on the roadway suffering from injuries.
Police said they believe one vehicle was involved and fled the scene before law enforcement arrived and was last seen heading northbound on Main Street before making a right on North Street.
The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital and currently has serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials confirmed the suspected vehicle is a light colored sedan with front end damage.
