BRISTOL, Conn. (WFSB) - Emergency crews are responding to two water main breaks in Bristol on Monday afternoon.

The town’s water and sewer department said both incidents are located on Park Street and Pine Brook Terrace.

Officials are notifying the public that the water from 12 Park Street to Tulip Street and on Pine Brook Terrace will be momentarily shut off for repairs.

Areas near the affected streets will also experience low water pressure.

As repairs bring back the water, some customers may see some discolored water and if you do experience this, you are asked to run cold water on an outside faucet or bathtub until the water clears.

In the meantime, an alternatives for residents in the area is going to the Water Filtration Plant is located at 1080 Terryville Avenue.
