ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Several communities across the Capital Region will come together to celebrate the courage and bravery of the nation's veterans on November 11. In honor of Veterans Day, the Albany area has multiple ceremonies planned for community members to attend and thank some of the military's heroes for their service.

Albany

Albany Law School will host its Veterans Day celebration on November 11 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the school on New Scotland Avenue. The event includes a trolley tour of Albany's historic military sites, a live performance from the Colonie Town Band, and complimentary refreshments.

Also in Albany, the USS Slater will host a ceremony on the ship, which starts at 9 a.m.
