The fashion event, set to take place at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre , features more than 30 Indigenous designers including Yolanda Skelton, Lesley Hampton, Stephanie Eagletail, Chief Janice George and Buddy Joseph, and others.

In addition to the runway shows and performances, the event offers a Makers Market, which highlights the creations of more than 40 Indigenous creatives spanning fashion, jewelry, art and more.

This year’s event has an overarching theme of Air, which aims to honour “the invisible forces that shape us,” according to Caroline Phelps, VIFW general manager.
