WATFORD CITY, N.D. — On Saturday night at the Watford City High School Auditorium, Mckenzie County Community Theater hosted its first North Dakota Stage Fest. Other participating theater programs were Entertainment Inc. from Williston and Fargo-Moorhead Community Theater.
Travis Barnes, director of Mckenzie Community Theater and emcee for the event, said that the goal of North Dakota Stage Fest was "to highlight the wonderful local talent that North Dakota has to offer.”
To this end, each theater company was invited to perform a 30–40 play or segment of a longer work, with each performance being introduced by Barnes and followed by a short intermission.
First to the stage was Mckenzie Theater, presenting their rendition of "Sherlock Holmes: Hound of the Baskervilles” adapted by Jon Jury
