BOISE, Idaho — A small plane struck a light pole and crashed near the Boise Airport on Saturday night. Boise Fire said the crash left two people with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Kitfox Series Seven Super Sport plane was traveling from Twin Falls and was scheduled to land in Boise around 6:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, according to FlightAware.
Andrew Kalac, a member of the Idaho National Guard, witnessed the crash while driving home and was first on the scene.
"I saw it buzz and hit one of the light posts, and it ended up crashing on the side of the right street," Kalac said. "Seeing it come from the sky, I immediately kind of freaked out a little bit."
