The Uttarakhand director general of police Deepam Seth issued a high alert in the State following the blast in Delhi on Monday evening. The issuance of the high alert resulted in additional checks of cars and trains in various parts of the State. In addition to the checks in the cities, the DGP also ordered that the checking drive be stepped up along international and inter-State borders, sensitive areas, religious places, bazaars, bus depots, railway stations, malls and other crowded places.
