Following a major explosion in Delhi that killed at least eight people and injured dozens,the police force in Karnataka have been put on alert.

All district headquarters have been put on alert, including Bengaluru City with Metro stations bus stand railway stations airport and other major installation across the state.

According sources,Bengaluru police have heightened the checks especially in the entry and exit points across the city.

Police have intensified patrolling and put up check points to check vehicles and suspecion movements.

Apart from vehicle checks,additional security is also in place in Metro stations,bus terminals and key structures in the city,,adding that similar measures have been taken in other districts, too.
