STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - A Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was injured on Saturday, November 8, 2025, when a passing vehicle failed to move over.

According to a social media post by the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, “one of our Deputies was working a traffic stop when a passing vehicle failed to move over.”

The BCSO says the car hit the rear driver’s side door while the deputy was standing between the door and a person he had just placed under arrest.

“The impact slammed the door into him,” the BCSO says.

“By the grace of God, he only walked away with minor injuries — but this could’ve been a completely different story," the Sheriff’s Office writes.
