“I’m really good at back(stroke) — it was the first stroke I learned,” said Cornwall Sea Lion Owen Murray, who had just wrapped his races in his club’s annual Snowflake Invitational , held Friday and Saturday at the Cornwall Aquatic Centre. Article content Article content
“Because my family has a cottage, I would swim out on the lake, and to get by the seaweed, I would swim on my back,” Murray said, explaining his particular prowess in that discipline.
Murray backed up his revelation by placing sixth overall in the 200-metre and fourth overall in the 50-metre backstroke , and also added a fourth in the 200-metre freestyle .
