LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) -- A Union Pacific train engine caught fire on Monday causing closures for affected Lufkin streets.

The intersection of Abney and Angelina streets will be closed due to the fire. According to Lufkin Police Department, firefighters responded to the incident around 12:50 p.m. No injuries have been reported.

Lufkin police will have the intersection blocked and said that it's unknown at this time when the intersection will reopen.
